Atlas Advisors (ATLAS) is actively seeking a CULTURAL AWARENESS TRAINER (AfPak) with a minimum of one year or more of experience. The incumbent must possess an extensive knowledge of the culture, geography, politics, economy, tribal dynamic, and history of the area of Afghanistan. This is a great opportunity to work with and train with the world-renowned 4BCT 82D Airborne Division (UIC WJLMAA).

Roles/Responsibilities
The role may require meetings with the COR or local representative prior to and upon completion of courses to discuss arrival times and any other essential course administrative information which may include pre-course meetings, after-hour discussion of course activity or post course evaluations. Additional meeting or discussions with the COR may occur after the delivery to provide specific recommendations concerning the course, materials, equipment, facilities, etc., as appropriate.

The course instructions will require use of audio/visual equipment so familiarity with basic equipment is a must. Successful candidate shall be in sufficient physical condition so that they can keep up with dismounted patrol that may last up to one hour. The cultural advisor must be able to wear their personal protective gear (Individual Ballistic Armour) for the length of the working day.

Minimum Qualifications
• A minimum of one year or more of experience as a cultural awareness trainer

• Willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS to teach/advise

• Possess a basin knowledge of audio/visual equipment

• US citizen of Afghan or Pakistani national origin

• Fluent in Pashto and Dari

• Possess extensive knowledge of the culture, geography, politics, economy, tribal dynamic, and history of the area of Afghanistan encompassed by Regional Command South

• Have prior experience with ISAF in Afghanistan preferred

• Have prior experience with the 82D Airborne Division preferred

• Professional Dress is requirement. Males and females shall wear the prescribed articles of clothing for the specific area of operations, in accordance with cultural norms

• Hold a current security clearance level of SECRET
