Job Description The Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Transportation is directly responsible for all transportation operations under this effort and must have at least 10 years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures. The APM – Transportation must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Logistics STAMIS in use and must have the ability to properly monitor production for compliance with scheduling directives, cost factors, and other applicable standards. Must be able to properly develop appropriate performance standards, track transportation production, and ensure facilities operate in a safe and efficient manner. Also directly responsible for resourcing departments and ensuring production goals are met. Must have relevant experience in order to analyze requirements and production capacity to respond to requests for proposals for option years and special missions. Additionally directly responsible to manage the automated Standard Army Maintenance System (SAMS) functions supporting driver licensing, testing and vehicle dispatching. The APM – Transportation must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
