Direct all academic and non-academic administrative matters for the Institute for the Study of Muslim Societies and Civilizations (Muslim Studies), and the American Institute of Afghanistan Studies (AIAS). Take responsibility for financial management and reporting, grant preparation, submission and administration, public relations and outreach. Manage immigration issues for American and foreign scholars. Work extensively with individuals and organizations outside the university. Required Skills B.A./B.S., Master’s degree preferred, familiarity with state, federal and international regulations and with common standards for running non-profit organizations, and three to five years of experience in international relations. This position requires regular travel and irregular hours (early mornings, nights, and weekends).
