Technician Telecom Sr Spec - Lockheed Martin - Fairfax, VA

This position is identified as Strategic Review – Aligned to IS&GS.

Position is located in Afghanistan: .Technician, Electronics, Intermediate is responsible for performing maintenance and sustainment activities for the Primary Mission Equipment (PME) and Mission Equipment Packages (MEP), and Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) systems and subsystems. The primary focus for this position will be to maintain system Operational Availability and ensure that information can be collected in the field utilizing the appropriate sensors. This position performs daily inspections and troubleshooting/maintenance of systems.

“Sample Description of Work Performed: Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications equipment, electronics equipment, as appropriate for the task. Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems. Performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment.

Basic Qualifications

High school education and 5 years directly related experience.

Clearance or NACI required prior to deployment and within 30 days of start date.

Valid passport for at least 3 years.

Ability to read, write and speak English

Familiarly with basic computer skills

Must be able to meet CENTCOM CRC medical minimum standards

Must be able to meet deployment training minimum standards

Must be able to work with customers and subcontractors in a professional manner
