(AFG-Kabul) AFGHAN NATIONAL ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND, HEADQUARTERS,DIVISION COMMAND TEAM/G3 TRAINER- MENTOR
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The primary goal of this program is to providesubject matter expertise and training support to assist Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan (CSTC-A) and NATO Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan (NSOCC-A) through Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A) and Commando-Special Operations Advisory Group (CDO-SOAG), in the execution of their mission.
* Train and Mentor a ANASOC Division Command Tm on Army values and leadership attributes, such as HOW TO; plan, coordinate, prepare for, and execute tactical tasks, synchronize functions among them to include the planning and orders process and continually assess the situation or execution of operations; MDMP; integration of and coordination between special operations and conventional forces.
- Train and Mentor, as part of the Engility Training Team to the ANASOC Division G-3. Mentor the G3 to serve as the principal advisor to the commander on operational matters for assigned, attached, and supporting forces; assist the commander in the command and control of operations; plan, coordinate, and integrate military operations; conduct current operations planning; recommend and publish plans and orders; assess operations for the commander; develop guidance and tasks as required for subordinate forces; identify the requirements for additional combat forces; manage the assessments process; disseminate the results of operational planning, assessments, and coordination; train subordinate force; plan, coordinate, monitor, and integrate air operations; conduct analysis and coordination of future operations; serve as the single point of contact for all Information Operations (IO); establish and organize functional related joint centers, groups, bureaus, cells, offices, elements, boards, working groups (WGs), and planning teams.
*As an additional duty you will supervise a diverse range of subordinate team member’s duties and responsibilities on a Special Operations DIVISON level Training team (24-35) as well as provide administrative support and the first link in the supervisory chain. Other duties as assigned by Program management-
Applicants must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements at an approved CRC. Applicants must be in possession of a current/active US tourist Passport (with further eligibility to receive – if not already in possession of – a current Afghanistan visa). If candidate is already deployed, he/she must supply appropriate documentation satisfying these requirements along with confirmation that he/she is in physical possession of government-issued PPE to demonstrate compliance with CENTCOM deployment requirements.
Willing to work and live in Afghanistan and understand they can be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government
Willingness to work in hostile areas without a weapon
Willingness to deploy and live on forward operating bases without regular U.S. Post/Base Exchange and Commissary facilities
Previous experience training foreign military soldiers.
Deployed operational experience in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT)

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years experience with the US Army or Marine Corps with experience at the Division level (or equivalent)
US Army Military 01A (Combat Arms Officer Branch Immaterial) or Senior NCO or service equivalent
Special Operations experience, with combat experience
Minimum experience of 12 months working in Afghanistan, in any military capacity
Deployed operational experience in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) working at a Task Force or equivalent level in a supervisory role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
It is highly desired that the G3 trainer have at least 3 years of experience in a G3 Operations shop at the Division level or higher
Combat experience, preferably in Afghanistan
Bachelor’s Degree, but equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement and some education can be used in lieu of work experience.
