(AFG-AE) TAAC-A PM / AOO Liaison
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Two primary functions comprise this position.
The first is to oversee the provision of services in support of the following mission and contractual requirements as the Train, Advise, Assist Command – Air (TAAC-A) Program Manager (PM):
The 438thAEW has a requirement to train, advise, and assist (TAA) the Afghan Air Force (AAF) on how to organize, staff, equip, and train their forces. The objective is to support and augment the mission of the 438thAEW with instructors and trainers to assist in training and assessing the AAF. Engility provides dedicated in-depth instruction, curriculum development, and subject matter expertise to assist the TAAC-Air/ 438thAir Expeditionary Wing (438thAEW) and RS/CJ7/Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan (CSTC-A) in the execution of their mission.
This position serves four critical roles for the TAAC-A program:
Manages planning, preparation, execution, quality assurance, deliverables, and reporting requirements for program.
Manages Engility/ATAC employees on program who serve in a wide array of functional staff positions. These duties include reviewing timesheets and expense reports; facilitating personnel movements and hiring actions; conducting employee evaluations; complying with deployment requirements and annual tasks.
Conducts administrative operations, facilitates staff coordination and synchronization, and interfaces with CONUS management on personnel and program-related issues.
Performs duties as Engility’s single Program Manager with the responsibility to ensure the performance of all specific tasks assigned to Engility in the SSOW. The PM will work with CONUS staff to manage the cost, schedule, technical coordination and status of the program and will ensure that all activities are controlled, scheduled, monitored, reported, and managed consistent with the requirements set forth in the SSOW

The second primary function of this position is to liaise between CONUS Engility management and OCONUS Engility/ATAC employees. These duties and responsibilities include:
Performing site visits to other Engility/ATAC contract locations in Afghanistan to measure contract performance.
Interfacing with PMs and employees on other programs.Communicating corporate and AOO practices and procedures.
Interacting and coordinating with Prime Contractor and Government Representatives as required and appropriate to address employee matters and concerns.
Coordinating with AOO staff located CONUS.
Reporting to the Army Overseas Operations Portfolio Director.
Additional related tasks, as assigned.
MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements at an approved CRC.
Applicants must be in possession of a current/active US tourist Passport (with further eligibility to receive – if not already in possession of – a current Afghanistan visa).
If candidate is already deployed, he/she must supply appropriate documentation satisfying these requirements along with confirmation that he/she is in physical possession of government-issued PPE to demonstrate compliance with CENTCOM deployment requirements.
Willingness to work and live in Afghanistan and understanding of the possibility to be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government as well as Engility’s Army Overseas Operations directorate.
Willingness and ability to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR, and wear protective clothing and equipment as required
Willingness to work in hostile areas without a weapon
Willingness to deploy and live on forward operating bases without regular U.S. Post/Base Exchange and Commissary facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
US military service expert with at least 10 years of experience at the Wing/Brigade/Regimental level
Previous experience training foreign military soldiers
Deployed OEF and/or OIF operational experience in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT)
Air Force experience
Experience managing programs in a combat environment
Experience coordinating information and assets within a staff organization
