The ideal FSR candidate is former US military and/or experienced in military field operations and reconnaissance. The position fulfills a customer need for integration of products, installation of systems, product training, troubleshooting and ad hoc technical support. You will work as part of a team along with government customers. The successful candidate is able to deliver exemplary results under pressure and is flexible in a rapidly changing work environment. Duties: • Direct and support the installation, repair, maintenance, and operation of communications and electro- mechanical (optical) equipment • Plan, develop, and coordinate product integration schedules • Manage administrative and routine maintenance functions including upgrades • Perform analysis of system operations • Evaluate and document field operational capabilities and report results to customer and/or engineers • Act as the liaison between government customers and project engineers • Become an expert user of Company products • Provide technical and functional field support for clients and customers • Conduct technical training to customers • This position requires extensive travel within the U.S. and abroad, including an immediate 12 month continuous OCONUS assignment at Bagram Airforce Base in Afghanistan. Required Skills: • Direct experience with systems integration, electrical-mechanical systems and software • Knowledge of military protocol and perimeter security measures • Familiar with communications, electrical cabling, and termination • Experience with training tactical systems to military personnel end users • Requires climbing platforms and lifting up to 40lbs • Must be able to withstand extreme outdoor temperatures • Must be able to work 12 hour days and be available on-call 24/7 while deployed • Must be able to tolerate modest living conditions while deployed • Must be flexible and adaptive to stressful work conditions Desired Skills: • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Must be highly self-driven • Maintain a tactful and professional demeanor in a team based environment • Develops innovative approaches and ideas to solving technical problems Required Education/Experience: • Bachelors Degree in an engineering related discipline and 6 years related experience.
