AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. Job Summary


AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the MOSC-A contract for a Theater Benefits Administrator . The Administrator records case information, complete accurately all necessary forms and produce statistical reports Facilitate multiple care aspects (case coordination, information sharing, etc.) Develop effective working relations and cooperate with medical providers throughout the entire case management process. Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules and regulations. Maintains all employee medical files. Ensures the employee receives the most updated information on their medical coverage; short-term/long-term;disability, etc. Investigates discrepancies and provides information in non-routine situations. Provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs and benefit administration. Demonstrates confidentiality of all Human Resources information under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), including: limiting the number of individuals involved in an alleged injury and/or illness to a “need to know basis”, not divulging sensitive information. Provides employee medical documents to Comprehensive Healthcare Services for review to ensure CENTCOM compliance as it pertains to MOD 12.Administers all medivacs, processes enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, accident and death claims. Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies. Interprets benefit plans, filing process and benefit policies to all employees.Designs, distributes and executes materials for benefit orientations and open enrollment. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management.


Minimum Requirements



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.




  • HIPAA Certification is required




  • 5 years’ experience in Human resources, benefit administration, case management or related healthcare




  • experience is required.




  • Proven working experience in case management.




  • Effective communication skills.




  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.




  • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.




  • Compassionate with teamwork skills.




  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS office (Word, Excel, Power Point),

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Behavioral Science or Management preferred.
