AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. Job Summary
AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan for a Supply Specialist for Kabul Embassy operations. The Specialist
Under the direction of the Project Manager, responsible for processing supply transactions for Class II, III, IIIP, IV and Class IX items, using the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS). Crosschecks Authorized Stockage List (ASL) to determine the most suitable choice of NSN to requisition an item. Checks requests from the shop sections to ensure correct NSN or part number is used and monitors for excessive quantities. Performs action on cancellation/rejections generated by ILMS. When approved, adds items to the Shop Stock List and adjusts the on-hand quantities on shop stock items as directed by the Project Manager and DOS warehouse. Issues bench stock replenishment listings and initiates requisition action after Supervisor’s review. Updates Repair Parts Master Listing as directed. Prepares requisitions for off-line, work orders, shop stock and local purchase as required. Coordinates with supporting Facilities Warehouse for requisitioning and turn-in actions. Utilizes Web FLIS, ILMS, External Vendor’s and other tracking systems to research information for required parts requests. Maintains listing and accountability of recoverable assets for accurate inventories. Assists in producing monthly printed reports from ILMS, All Data Work Center System’s, and performs file maintenance as required. Performs document register reconciliations and submits weekly supply activities requisitions and cost expenditures to the Supervisor or Warehouse Manager. Must be able to communicate and respectively work with Afghan Local Nationals. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
HS Graduate or GED equivalent.
Three to five years’ experience in Army related Supply operations, Warehousing, Receiving, and Inventory Control required; and knowledge in SAMS-1 computer data operations.
Strong knowledge of Receiving, Warehouse, and Inventory Handling operations, methods, and practices. Knowledge of Bar Code Technology and Electronic Data Interchange a plus.
Must be familiar with Supply codes and automatic data systems.
Must be familiar with Army Supply Regulations policies and procedures.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing,
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access)
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during an 48 hour work week. May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to operate at least a 4K forklift and have a valid driver’s license
