### Summary

**About the Position:**


This position will be filled on a temporary basis not to exceed 13 months with possibility of extensions.

### Duties


As a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist you will be responsible for the following:


* Provide worldwide production, readiness, and logistics support for the Joint Warfighter and all customers in a timely, cost-effective manner.

* Manage high visibility equipment readiness programs to improve reliability and operational availability.

* Serve as senior logistician, working with contractors and Army civilian employees to accomplish assigned missions.

* Plan, organize, direct and coordinate the work efforts of personnel engaged in the performance of assigned missions and related functions of the division.

* Direct the accomplishment of high visibility programs.

* Responsible for determining schedules and plans to meet goals, objectives, and milestones established by the Command.

### Qualifications

**Experience required:** Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.


To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: direct the work of subordinate team leaders to manage asset accountability and logistic policy for the command; conduct detailed analysis and management studies on special projects; develop policy and guidance for logistics, exercise, and contingency activities; implement and operate logistical plans; responsible for resolution of logistic problems to preclude impact to command program goals and objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).


You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
