Systems Engineer Sr - Lockheed Martin - Fairfax, VA

This position is identified as Strategic Review – Aligned to IS&GS.

Engineer, Computer Systems, Senior is responsible for the Configuration Management (CM) of Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) architecture/infrastructure and providing Field Service Representative (FSR) support related to PED. This position collaborates in system design, Interface Control Documents (ICDs) of infrastructure related to PED and its functionality, leading to the installation and implementation of the required communications architecture necessary for each PED site CONUS and OCONUS and associated infrastructure. This position is located in Afghanistan.

“Sample Description of Work Performed: Must be thoroughly familiar with UNIX operating systems and be capable of performing system administration and network administration functions to include managing of software and hardware maintenance, utilizing contractor services as applicable, backup procedures, problem troubleshooting, user support, system security and other normal administration requirements.
