Project Background,

Accord Worldwide intends to conduct of a comprehensive Midwifery Needs Assessment in Afghanistan for one of his valuable clients. The assessment is planned to examine Midwifery profession needs from Education, Regulation and Association, as well as explore the environment within which Midwifery interventions are implemented. It is planned that the report of such a comprehensive Midwifery assessment will be used to guide development and implementation of a national Midwifery action plan that will address the needs/gaps identified and contribute to increased utilization of quality Midwifery services in Afghanistan. The assessment will include by collecting secondary data, personal interviews, focus group discussion and direct observation. To fulfill the above project activities Accord Worldwide seek an international survey expert having the following qualification and experience.

Experience & Qualifications,

• Master in medical or in social Sciences, MPH and other related subjects, PhD will be preferred.


• The candidate should have at least 8 years experience of designing, leading and conducting such national surveys regarding health issues and other social issue in Afghanistan and internationally.


• He must be familiar with the health issues in Afghanistan specifically Midwifery issues and existing programs of MOPH Afghanistan and other international organizations related to Midwifery.


• The incumbent should have experience of conducting Midwifery survey in any part of the World, Afghanistan will be a plus, he must be able to manage a team of researchers, and coordinate all the project activities with all the international donors and stakeholders.


• He should possess good practical experience in data collection analysis and report writing to the donors.
