Job Title Materials Control Specialist I

Job Description Provides functional and administrative support within the Materials Control function as assigned. Coordinates material requirements and delivery schedules with functional and project management; communicates status updates and change requests as required. Reviews work schedules, inventory levels, material requisitions and delivery status to ensure necessary supplies of material and supplies at supported locations when needed. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates. according to priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to verify conformance to

specifications. Arranges transfer of materials to meet schedules. May provide guidance to less experienced personnel as assigned. Maintains accuracy of

information in computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process reports, and status and location of materials.

Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements High school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and three (3) years related experience.

Other Job Requirements Minimum requirements: Should have previous experience in Materials and Maximo.

Skills required: Computer competent able to to work with excel and word, able to speak, read and write in English as they will be required to send e-mail to the customers. Employee will be required to be knowledgeable with receiving, issuing and entering data in MAXIMO the Fluor Materials/Property Data system, to include Internal Assessment and Inventory Validations. Employee will be required to work outside in possible inclement weather and do some heavy lifting when required.

Preferred Qualifications Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
