Job Summary

The Aircraft Mechanic II performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty

Principal Accountabilities

• Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.


• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.


• Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.


• Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.


• Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.


• Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.


• Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.


• Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.


• Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and use required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.


• Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.


• Perform other duties as requested.

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.


• Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.


• Basic knowledge of electrical theory and a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.


• Working knowledge of technical publications and Logistics Information Systems.


• Able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects and is required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.


• Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.


• Possess the level of experience to inspect all required aeronautical type maintenance to be performed by Mechanics.


• The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.

Experience & Education

• Completion of high school or equivalent and U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired, certification of education level is required.


• Three (3) or more years aviation maintenance experience within the past (6) years on that mission design series (MDS).


• Experience in maintenance, modification and repair of tactical aircraft systems of the type being serviced and their associated components.


• Valid FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P;) License for mechanics and sheetmetal is preferred.


• Valid FCC Elements 1 and 3 licenses for electricians and/or FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P;) License is preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.


• Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.


• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.


• May be required to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.


• Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.


• Will handle dirty parts and lubricants.


• Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).


• Must be able to pass a Respirator Physical and Fit Test qualification.


• May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, etc.


• Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds.


• May work in maintenance shop or outside.


• Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.


• May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.


• May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.

Travel

• As required in support of task order.

Description:

The ANASOC Division G2 SME shall train the ANASOC G2 leadership and Staff in the full spectrum of duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to the intelligence cycle, Targeting Operations, IPOE, and HUMINT driven operations, at a Special Operations Division level IOT Operationalize the ANASOC Special Operations Division. Trainer shall advise staff principals while training their subordinate staff officers and NCOs in their basic duties and tasks. Re-train officers and NCOs as necessary. Train and advise the ANASOC HQ in the building and development of staff products to include, but not limited to, Campaign Plans, Targeting Products , Collection Management plans. Train and advise in Intelligence Operations, Link Analysis, Course of Action (COA) Development, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Plans and Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) with focus on Asymmetric Warfare .

Supports the G2 Trainer/Lead in mentoring, training and advising the ANASOC G2 Command and his staff in their daily battle rhythm in sustainment of the division and its assigned special operations units

BACKGROUND

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Office of Criminal Justice Assistance and Partnership (INL/CAP) focuses on meeting the demand for law enforcement, criminal justice, and corrections experts and assistance in post-conflict societies and complex security environments. INL is responsible for the development, supervision, coordination, and implementation of international narcotics control and law enforcement assistance activities and for international criminal justice and law enforcement issues for the U.S. Department of State (DOS).

Currently, INL is responsible for implementing major criminal justice reform programs in Afghanistan, Benin, Egypt, Ghana, Haiti, Kosovo, Liberia, Mexico, the Palestinian Authority, South Sudan and Tunisia. Countries and specific programs are subject to change based on U.S. government policy priorities. More than 200 police, corrections, and legal advisors are deployed in support of these programs. Each of these contract advisors must complete a pre-deployment selection and training process (PDT) to be eligible for deployment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves as an Expert Afghanistan Adult-Centric Instructor in support of this INL/CAP training requirement.
  


• Contributes expertise, best practices and knowledge related to criminal justice subject area.
  


• Prepare documentation related to training.
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
  


• PhD, JD, or equivalent academic credential in a topic or field of study relevant to the needs of the INL/CAP training program; OR
  


• A Master’s Degree (in a relevant field) with Five (5) Years teaching experience in adult education; OR
  


• A Bachelor Degree (in a relevant field) with Seven (7) Years teaching experience in adult education; OR
  


• Ten (10) Years aggregate experience as a: certified criminal justice sector instructor (of which Five (5) Years was assigned full-time in a training or academy assignment); adult training manager/coordinator in a relevant field; equivalent demonstrated instructional experience in an adult learning environment; or such combination of expertise, education, and experience as to be considered an expert in their field.
  


• The ability to facilitate course modules using adult learning principles.
  


• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  


• Must be an Afghanistan Country Expert who has recently delivered periods of instruction within the last Two (2) Years; this is a Firm Requirement
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience instructing/ facilitating courses for international criminal justice sector missions.
  


• Experience working overseas in a criminal Justice or related mission where training was a significant component.
  


• Knowledge of criminal justice development in an international environment.

Job Summary

The CAD Drafter Senior is responsible for performing professional computer aided drafting and design (CADD) work, developing departmental plans, maps, projects and reports.

Principal Accountabilities

(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)

• Take hand drawn plans from engineers from multiple disciplines (i.e. civil, mechanical & electrical) and use AutoCAD to create presentable and accurate facility and infrastructure plans for concept and statement of work requirements for and detailed finished drawings


• Will develop maps and relational databases to produce updated mapping, including, photo imagery, topography, floodplains, airfield pavements and features, roadway and transportation features, environmental features and Infrastructure


• Supports all engineering and architectural disciplines with detailed drawing support for design projects


• Review digital survey information, field notes and sketches to determine what the information is indicating and what approach needs to be taken to create a comprehensive plan


• Research and locate existing map data (maps and other published information) to support the creation of new plans


• Liaise with contracted surveying office to obtain topography information for project incorporation to deal with site preparation, drainage and vertical structures


• Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009, ESRI Arc Map/Arc Editor, and Microsoft Office


• Has working knowledge of computer networks and be able to install, maintain, operate and troubleshoot large format plotters


• Ability to accurately read design drawings and calculate shapes (geometric, etc.) also required


• Ability to integrate data from any source into theGIS/AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 databases


• Must have the capability to tie all surveys/maps to geodetic monuments set by the US Government for both horizontal and vertical control

Experience & Education

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, visual Basic, Arc View, ArcInfo, Arc Editor, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Map Viewer Base systems, Geospatial expeditionary Planning Tool


• 1 year experience on AutoCAD/Auto CAD Civil 3D 2009


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:
Serve as principal technical advisor to the Manager on all functions relating to the technical procedures and operations in the traffic management function. Customarily and regularly directs the work of four (4) or more employees. Has the authority to hire and fire other employees or to recommend hiring, firing, promotion, change of status of employees. Work requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment. Perform other related duties of the same or lower level of difficulty and may be assigned occasional duties of a higher level of difficulty than those listed above. Maintain high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations; treat all individuals fairly and with respect.

Supervise employees engaged in processing Bills of Lading, classifying shipments, inspecting carriers, preparing related reports, and negotiating with commercial carriers. Set priorities, assign tasks and organize work of the Transportation office.

Provide technical training to Traffic personnel to include one on one training, training material preparation, and other administrative training requirements as necessary. Interpret traffic regulations and their applicability to Depot operations.

Conduct research and review reference material and functional procedural guides used in daily traffic operations to insure that all data is technically accurate and up to date. Provide verbal and written reports, including CDRL reports as required.

Have thorough knowledge of the MTMS, ETA, ASIS Programs and other related computer programs associated with traffic functions.

Provide telephone/written responses to technical queries generated from ACO Traffic and/or other sources. Coordinate and schedule with commercial carriers for equipment

and services required.

Maintain the Quality Management System for the office. Responsible for document control in support of the Quality Management System. Responsible for reporting potential real environmental concerns to the Environmental Service.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: A.S./A.A. in Transportation or Traffic Management or equivalent in education and experience.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of direct experience in traffic and transportation functions and operations as a Traffic Technician or equivalent. Supervisory experience desirable.
