Material Manager
REPORT TO: Logistics Manager
The Material Manager is responsible to the Logistic Manager for the operational oversight of the warehouse. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
DUTIES:
- Setup layout & space management; work organization chart; procedures such as SOP, 5S.
- Manage stock control: the self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; shipment loading & transferring; document recording and data entry into system
- Planning, Organizing and Controlling of Warehouse’ over-all operations
- Constantly plan out all warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objectives and set targets
- Develop warehouse staff by internal/on-job training
- Maintain housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area
- Issue Inventory report, IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, goods age report, consumption report, manpower status report to Logistics Supervisor
- Implement cost reduction principle in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
- Creation of daily work logs and transmission
- Audit of daily labor and reports
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:Must have two to five years of professional experience logistics contingency support experience
- Two to five years of life cycle logistics experience
- Familiarity with Government supply chain management standards is required
- Regional experience as well as experience managing subcontractors in a threat environment is also desirable
- Must be able to manage workloads effectively including adapting to changes, planning, organizing and prioritizing work
- Knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Maximo and Cost Point Database
Must be able to work effectively under stress and pressure
REQUIRED:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Logistics diploma/certificate/training is highly preferred
- Security Vetting:Must successfully obtain a MRPT Security Clearance. Must maintain eligibility at the required security level for the duration of the contract
- Medical:Favorable passage of a drug screen test and physical examination
- Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English – both orally and in writing – with all levels of employees and vendors
- Citizenship: US citizenship is not required
