About the Position:
This position is under the supervision of the Director, Materiel Fielding & Training Directorate, AMSTA-LCF-M. The referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC). The ILSC is responsible for sustaining war fighting readiness and managing a large part of the Army’s investment in war fighting capacity as integrators of nearly 3,000 weapon systems that form the core of the Army’s war fighting capability.

- Selection for assignment to this position requires passing an appropriate physical examination (including drug testing) for overseas deployment.
- Position may require travel Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) to areas such as Afghanistan, Kuwait, or other potentially high-threat OCONUS environments, or other hostile areas.
- May be required to deploy on short notice.
- May be required to: stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, crouch, stretch, reach, lift or carry 30 pounds, climb up, down, in and out of vehicles and equipment.
Duties
- You will be responsible for materiel management and fielding of new and displaced systems under Total Package Fielding (TPF) concept.
- You will determine all requirements to support a system fielding (i.e., end items, associated support items, special tools and test equipment, repair parts, negotiations with servicing commands, requisitioning support packages, preparing retail customer documentation, participation in handoff, and joint inventory.
- Work with Logistics Modernization Programs to prepare customer requisitions, track, expedite, and maintain status of fill.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies to package processing points and staging sites.
- Provide advice on clearing up discrepancies in Purchase, Sales requisition processing, or to expedite high priority actions, and coordinate the resolution of the discrepancies.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: fielding equipment; managing automated property book operations; resolving discrepancies in shipment, purchasing, or sales requisitions; requisitioning and managing stock; and conducting inventories. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education qualifying for a GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or completion of all requirements for an LL.M degree from an accredited college or university (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combining Education and Experience: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 2 years by 18. Add the 2 percentages. Note: For the purpose of qualifications, 1 full year of graduate education is equivalent to 18 semester hours. (Note: you MUST attach a copy of your transcripts)
