Job Summary

• Hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices, setting and maintaining policies and rights/security within a Windows Server 2000/2003 environment:  Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VPN, UTM from different vendors (CISCO, HP, Dell…)

 Cisco IronPort Security Appliances & Adaptive Security Appliances & VPN
 Bandwidth manager (ex: BlueCoat PacketShaper)
 Wireless Access Points (Cisco, Siemens, EnteraSys, 3Com)
 HP, Dell, Systemax server platforms
 Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 Active Directory

Duties and Responsibilities

• Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipments and related services * Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems * Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks * Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support * Maintain and support company’s LAN/WAN environment * Windows and Linux systems, business applications, anti-virus protection, email, and authentication administration * Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations * Daily maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration * Participate in 24×7 on-call rotation * Obtain and maintain required certifications for partnership with key vendors * Prepare weekly/monthly reports of the dept. activities * Maintenance of the Wimax system & Network, a proper documentation will have to be maintain at all time (disaster recovery, diagram…)

Qualifications
6+ years of network administration mandatory * Ability to prioritize and multitask * Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent customer presentation skills * Must have Bachelor degree of Computer Science. * Current CCNA or CCNP strongly preferred * Ability to lift, carry, and move all components of PC workstations, servers, network equipments, peripherals, and other ancillary equipments * Ability to travel 25-50% of the time inside/outside Kabul
