(AFG) C130H Electrical and Environmental Subject Matter Expert Trainer


THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING Job Description: The USG has a requirement for one (1) C130H electrical and environment (E & E) subject matter expert trainer to assist in curriculum development, instruction and advising related to maintaining of electrical and environmental (E & E) functions and activities to support aircraft systems or subsystems and management of AGE functions and activities. Relevant Subject Matter includes that t he SME shall be a former United States service member with C130H electrical and environment (E & E) subject matter experience. The SME shall participate in team, technical, and working group meetings as required; prepare and present briefings to the US Government as related to this effort; responsible to function within the Raytheon staff; provide inputs to WFF/WTA management; participate in the planning process and recommend improvement opportunities. Work Location: Kabul Air Wing, Harmid Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan or other location in Afghanistan as required. Required Hours: Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while in CONUS. Responsibilities: -Coordinate with USAF advisors on a daily basis -Develop products and train various AAF aircrew and leadership -Adhere to all scheduled timelines, milestones, delivery schedules and administrative requirements -Ensure timely problem identification and development of corrective action plans impacting the contract -Develop curriculum, train, advise, assist and mentor AAF squadron personnel as required in the establishment of and long term sustained management of AAF C130H Maintenance Squadron Aerospace Ground Equipment processes -Train students to: -Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE -Inspect, test, and operate AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation -Diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications -Remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and re-install AGE accessories and component -Stencil and mark AGE -Service equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air -Operate, clean, inspect, and service AGE towing vehicles -Maintain vehicle forms -Provide dispatch service for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations -Diagnose malfunctions and repairs AGE -Advise and perform troubleshooting on AGE before assigning repair action -Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions -Prepare AGE for storage and mobility deployment -Solve repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications -Use automated maintenance system to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions -Analyze and repair ground support equipment using conventional and digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools -Maintain external fuel and grounding systems -Store, handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material and waste according to environmental standards -Plan and organize AGE maintenance activities -Establish production controls and standards -Interpret and implement policy directives and instructions pertaining to maintenance, including environmentally safe maintenance practices -Determine resource requirements, including facilities, training, equipment, and supplies -Inspect maintenance activities, evaluates resource use, and recommends corrective actions -Determine equipment serviceability criteria where it does not exist Required Qualifications: -Two (2) years of specialized experience in a military or civilian aviation training environment -Mandatory knowledge of principles of electricity, electronics, general mechanics, heating, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, and reciprocating and turbine engines ; troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and modifying equipment; use of automated maintenance systems ; application of maintenance management techniques; interpretation of maintenance directives, technical publications, drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics; and proper identification, handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste materials -Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret security clearance prior to start -Strong analytical, writing skills -Strong MS Office Skills -Experience/sensitivity with diverse cultures -Strong interpersonal and organizational skills -Experience preparing written correspondence and information products for staff and “Required Skills” and “company employees -Excellent organizational and management skills -Excellent problem solving skills and ability to timely implement new solutions -Good understanding of USAF Squadron Operations -Valid US Passport with at least 1 year validity -Must be able to obtain an Afghan visa Physical Requirements/Working Environment: -Include but are not limited to the wear of body armor and helmet Personal Protective Gear, unassisted lifting and carrying of duffle bags not exceed the weight of 70 lbs per piece, and the unassisted movement over uneven terrain. -Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that there could be further assignments to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government, to include hostile and austere areas. -Must be able to attend and pass USG deployment requirements at CONUS Replacement Center (CRC), Fort Bliss, Texas or equivalent location. -Must meet the medical requirements for the position being offered as determined by a pre-employment medical screening and in accordance with published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards. -Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to eight (8) hours per day and sit for up to three (3) hours per day. -Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs. -Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders. -Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print. -Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear. -Employee will be required to work and live in a potentially hostile environment, at remote locations, and under austere conditions. -Employee may be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, under extreme weather conditions, within a hostile environment. -The individual may be exposed to extreme noise from aircraft, hostile fire, and other acts of aggression associated with this region. Desired Qualifications: -Currently or previously possess USAF specialty Code 2A676 Electrical & Environmental with “T” prefix Overseas experience -Possess current DoD Secret security clearance -Previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers Required Education: -Bachelor’s Degree in related field, and 4 yrs of work experience to include a min of 2 yrs specialized experience in the military . Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of educational requirement. 82789
